Last night, 60 Minutes’s Scott Pelley closed out the program in a brief segment that once upon a time was reserved for Andy Rooney’s crabby humorist essays.
I watched the online clip. At the end when the United Healthcare logo burst upon my screen, I laughed out loud at the irony.
I chastised myself for being so cynical, then found your piece. No, my gut (currently being subjected to medical machinations from Medicare and thankfully not UHC) had been right in the first place.
Yer singing my song. I lost faith back to n 2016. But you are spot on regarding carefully distributing trust. It’s taken years to self-curate my information feeds, and digging into them to insure it’s not just myth building from some PR group.
Yup. I’m done with 60 Minutes. So sad. But you know what they say: “It takes a lifetime to build a good reputation, and one minute to shred it.”
