I walked in one time to see what the big deal was about that store. It was so dark I couldn't barely see the clothes and left. Prices were outrageous. I didn't see it at the time. But thanks for pointing it out now.
For decades and still today, ad-men have made sexual signals incorporated in ads and commercials common. When you make a candy bar sexy with a sultry male voice and blurred image as something naughty, people have not just lost their way. They have lost their ever lov'n mind.
To many of them were abused, I never bought into all the hype. Thankfully neither did any of my kids bought a few pieces when they were on sale but that’s about it. I’m more about starting my own trends than following them tried to pass this along to them also. You got it on the inside one can wear or style anything and it looks good. Always try to be a real leader and really stand for something greater than oneself
I enjoy telling people that my family owned an Abercrombie & Fitch inflatable row boat. Before it went after the tween clothing market in 1990s, it was an expedition outfitter. It supplied Theodore Roosevelt and his Rough Riders during the Spanish American war.
You are missing that Abercrombie and Fitch executives recruited, exploited, trafficked, and sexually assaulted those young people for years. That is the point of the commentary. How did you miss that?
I remember back in 2001-2002ish when A&F was such a big deal. Never purchased anything there. It was a bit outside my budget in college. Never in a million years would have guessed all of this about the company or the guys working there. I do remember those 10 lb quarterlys that they published and they were absolutely exquisite. I certainly would have had a very different opinion had this all been known but as we didn't, we just enjoyed the marketing. Most men in their early 20s would have wanted their washboard abs and muscles.
That store always gave me creepy vibes I had almost forgotten about it.
No surprise. We should really be asking ourselves why there are so many?

I stood outside of one in the Parks Mall, smelled it, saw it, and never went in. It screamed vulgarity.
I’m so glad I never frequented A & F. This is a brilliant reflection piece.
I’m pretty certain that is Ashton Kutcher in that first group photo.
Just like women and girls are treated, how bout that.
Worst part, they simply rebranded
Kinda like hooters?
That was my exact thought too!! Just like hooters… and so many others that profit off the female body.

Not the store itself obviously . One of the owners. Be clear

🤮
I don't understand the point here. People like attractive people. Hot models are paid to be hot and to model. What am I missing here?
